In the 8th century in Lanciano, Italy a priest who doubted the Real Presence of the Eucharist began to go through the motions of saying his daily Mass. At the moment of Consecration, the Bread miraculously turned into a piece of heart muscle and the wine changed to blood. This miracle can still be seen even today. This is just one of dozens of miracles that have happened over the years to help us grow in belief of the Eucharist, the Source and Summit of our faith. There is an amazing website now in the Links section that documents these church-approved miracles. I highly recommend it for students AND parents. This Lent, may we remember that "faith tells us that Christ is present, when our human senses fail."
