Mr. Lyall's Line
It gives me great pleasure to announce that St. Patrick Catholic School has once again been named a Banner School by the Diocese of Wichita for the 2016-2017 school year. On Wednesday night, Mr Bob Voboril, Superintendent for the Diocese, presented this distinguished award to Father Shockey and myself at a dinner here at St. Patrick. Please also join me in congratulating two of our teachers who were also honored with awards: Mary Meng received the St. John Neumann Award – Outstanding K-8 Teacher outside Sedgwick County, and Valerie Rohlman received the St. Joseph the Worker Award - Outstanding technology support person in the Diocese of Wichita. All three honors are huge blessings and we are honored to have won. The faculty and staff here at St. Pats deserve this kind of recognition, as they are true stewards of their faith. We are so very blessed!
Additionally, I would like to announce that Mr. Bob Voboril, our superintendent, has been named the National Catholic Education Association Superintendent of the Year. Bob truly deserves this distinction for his tireless effort to sustain and maintain the highest degree of excellence in this diocese. Bob truly supports St. Patrick, and we appreciate all that he does and has done to assist us in our mission.
Catholic Schools Week was a huge success. I believe the students truly had a great week filled with faith, knowledge and service. Oh heck, we had a lot of fun too! Thank you to everyone who supports our Catholic School. We could not do it without you. A true blessing in the Diocese of Wichita is the Stewardship way of life. This is the only diocese in the country that allows stewardship as a way to fund Catholic education. Again, a true blessing.
May God continue to abundantly bless this diocese and our school.
With you in Christ,
